Hi everyone!!
I'm an engineering student who somehow decided it was a good idea to casually build an app on top of everything else I already have going on.
I've been working on YUMI for about 10 months now, mostly in between classes, assignments, random life problems, and me questioning why I even started this in the first place.
There were definitely a few points where I seriously thought, "okay, maybe I should just stop." But I didn't.
Because honestly… I'm tired of being asked "where do you wanna eat?" when I genuinely DO NOT KNOW.
Like why is choosing food suddenly a group decision that takes 20 minutes??
So I built YUMI: basically a swipe-to-decide food app where you swipe through places, save what you like, and hopefully make the whole "what should we eat?" problem a little less painful.
And after months of it living on my laptop, breaking, getting fixed, breaking again, getting redesigned, and me probably overthinking every tiny thing… YUMI is finally out.
Real people can actually use it now.
If YUMI saves you and your friends from one of those endless:
- "idk, you choose"
- "anything"
- "idk i'm following you"
- "no you choose"
conversations… then honestly, that's already the whole point. 😂
Thank you to anyone who tries it, gives feedback, shares it, or simply tells a friend about it. It genuinely means a lot to me ❤️
